Who Are We?

The Cardwell Community Church is a group of people who have discovered that they are sinners and deserve eternal punishment from God. (Romans 3:23) We have also discovered that God loves us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus,  to become a man, live a perfect life, and then pay for the punishment that we deserve by dying on a cross. (John 3:16)  

God now offers forgiveness and eternal life freely to all sinners who will receive this gift by putting their trust in Jesus, who was raised from the dead.  The Bible teaches us that when we are saved by believing in Jesus, God makes us into new people on the inside (2 Corinthians 5:17) and begins changing our thoughts and actions to become more and more like Jesus.  This is called being a disciple.  

As we follow Jesus, we still sin but God is faithful to forgive us, as we confess our sin, and keep working in us.  (1 John 1:9)  So we gather together with others who have found this same hope and those who are interested in knowing more about it. We want to show God's greatness, encourage each other in our relationship with Christ, and learn from God's word, the Bible.  We regularly fail in this process but we count on God's grace to pick us up again and keep us going.  We invite you to experience His grace with us.
